A NEW STAGE
After more than a year of renovation and renewal, the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts will open its state-of-the-art Virginia G. Piper Theater with a star-studded 2009-10 season of dance, jazz, classical and world music, theater and satire. Tony Award-winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth will be the first to perform on the new stage as part of the Oct. 24 ARTrageous Celebration. And that's just the beginning! The season features performances by comedians Jason Alexander, John Cleese and Martin Short; the groundbreaking Martha Graham Dance Company; Grammy Award-winning cellist Yo-Yo Ma; the dynamic Shen Wei Dance Arts as part of the new Destination China series; jazz legend Arturo Sandoval, who headlines the first Scottsdale Latin Jazz Festival; and much, much more.

Series and single tickets for all performances are now on sale with seating priority given to Premier and Presidents Club members, followed by members purchasing series tickets to four or more different performances (seated July 9), non-members purchasing series tickets (seated July 23) and single-ticket buyers (seated August 13).
