The Joffrey Ballet - photo by Herbert Migdoll

One of the world's premier ballet companies, the Chicago-based Joffrey Ballet is celebrated for its repertoire of masterpieces and groundbreaking modern works. The company's program will include Gerald Arpino's beautifully choreographed Kettentanz, a lighthearted medley of polkas, waltzes and gallops inspired by the music of Johann Strauss Sr. and Johann Mayer and evoking the charm of Old Vienna; Age of Innocence, an exciting new work based on the novels of Jane Austen by the innovative New York City Ballet soloist-turned-choreographer Edwaard Liang; and Chicago native Lar Lubovitch's wonderful ... smile with my heart, set to the music of Richard Rodgers.

This performance is part of the Soaring Inspirations Series sponsored by the Daron and Ron Barness Family Foundation and is presented by Peggy and Jamie Kapner with support from Suzanne T. and Irving D. Karpas Jr.
