Hailed by The New York Times as “an artist who means every note he plays,” internationally acclaimed pianist Jeffrey Siegel has presented his celebrated Keyboard Conversations from coast to coast, including more than 30 seasons in Scottsdale. His brilliantly polished concert-with-commentary format combines captivating remarks with world-class performances of legendary masterpieces of the piano repertoire – and concludes with a fast-paced Q-and-A session. The Greatness of Chopin is a post-Valentine’s celebration with some of the most beautiful music ever written by one of the world’s most beloved composers, including heroic Polonaises, dreamy Nocturnes, a tempestuous Scherzo and the mystery behind the Fantasy Impromptu. “Jeffrey Siegel has everything: massive technique, musical sensitivity and character, wide tonal resources, immense reserves of power, and the ability to communicate.” The concert also features Keyboard in the Sky,™ a video projection above the stage that enables the audience to see the pianist’s hands moving across the keyboard in real time from any seat in the theater. |
