About This Event

The culmination of the Discovery Series, this special Sunday A’Fair celebrates the cultures of the United Kingdom, Ireland and Arizona in an afternoon of entertainment and interactive experiences. Visitors enjoy music, dance and stories; arts-and-crafts by local artists; creative art stations for kids and families; and native-inspired foods and beverages.

Tramor with special guest The Living Traditions Dance Troupe

Experience a collaboration between the American Welsh group Tramor and Native American dancers from The Living Traditions Dance Troupe.

Peter Pan by Arizona Curriculum Theater
1:45 – 2:30 p.m.
Listen to the beloved story of Peter Pan written by the Scottish novelist N.M. Barrie, performed by the Arizona Curriculum Theater. Great for ages 5-10!

Celtic Tea Party

Young @ Arts Gallery
Hosted by the Phoenix-Ennis and Chandler-Tullamore Sister Cities, Daughters of Scotia, and The Desert Shamrock magazine, includes an etiquette lesson, entertainment with Scottish and Irish music and dance, tea from Belfast, Kerry butter from Ireland, and light fare. Scone, Devon cream from England, and strawberry jam from the English Rose Tea Room in Carefree, Arizona.

  • WISEnheimer – An interactive American English and British English word-match game
  • Native American Featured Artisans – Ron Carlos (Salt River Pima – Maricopa - Pottery) and David A. Montour (Potawatomie and Mohawk - Native American Flutes) demonstrate their traditional crafts
  • The Barmy Brit Food Truck – featuring classic UK dishes like fish and chips and Scottish egg
