About This Event

Presented in conjunction with Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts’ Discovery Series, OrigiNation offers the opportunity to learn about native cultures of Arizona, Spain and Portugal through music, song, dance, storytelling, demonstrations, food tastings, participatory workshops and a special showcase of the celebrated Pure Spanish Horse (Andalusian).

Ramana Vieira Quintet

The heartfelt, haunting music of fado, known as the Portuguese version of blues, performed by San Francisco-based singer Ramana, who’s been called “the new voice of Portuguese world music” (Mundo Portuguese Magazine).

2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Inspiracion Flamenca

A dynamic and fiery performance featuring internationally trained professional flamenco dancers and musicians.
