Prizing the Arts Raffle 2007

AND THE WINNERS ARE…

On Saturday, May 12, 2007 the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts held the Prizing the Arts raffle drawing. “Sister” from Late Nite Catechism did the honors and selected the following lucky winners:

Irene Zobel won the Jewelry as Art prize. A $5,000 gift certificate to Cornelis Hollander Jewelry.

Betty Quinn and Kathy George were each awarded one of two Performance Packages including a gift certificate to Asia de Cuba restaurant located at the Mondrian in Scottsdale and four tickets to a performance of their choice for the 2007-2008 Season at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts (some restrictions apply).

Dr. Sanford Hoffman was our grand prize winner of the four-day, three –night Travel as Arts trip to New York City.

Official Contest Rules:

These official contest rules may not be waived, modified or supplemented except by the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. No modification of these official contest rules shall be enforceable unless made by the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts.

The raffle drawing will take place at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts at the American Songbook Benefit Concert March 31, 2007 . All tickets must be received prior to the drawing at 8:00 p. m. on Saturday, March 31, 2007 to be eligible. Please allow at least four business days for mailing. On-line ticket orders at scottsdaleperformingarts.com will cease at 5:00 p.m. (Mountain Standard Time) Friday, March 30, 2007.

The price per ticket is $100.00 payable by check to The Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts or by credit card and mailed to 7380 E 2 nd St , Scottsdale , AZ 85251 Attn: Raffle. Tickets may also be purchased at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts' box office during regular business hours or at scottsdaleperformingarts.org.

The tickets will be collected in the order they are received by the Special Events Coordinator, Michelle Kaps or an equal representative of the organization and deposited upon receipt. Each ticket will be entered separately into the drawing. Each ticket is a separate and equal chance to win the Mercedes-Benz and other prizes .

The maximum number of tickets to be sold will be 2,000. Ticket sales will cease when that number is reached, and any checks received after the cut-off will be returned to the sender. Chances of winning depend on number of raffle tickets sold. Winners must accept ownership of the prizes no later than 30 days after the drawing.

There are no substitutions for prizes. All expiration dates are final. Lost or stolen gift certificates are not replaceable. Gift certificates are not refundable for cash value.

The $100.00 ticket price is not deductible for income tax purposes as a charitable donation.

The net profits from the sale of the raffle tickets will be applied to the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts programming and youth education and outreach.

The auto dealer, Mercedes-Benz of Chandler , will convey the property to the Grand Prize winner by general warranty deed free and clear of all liens, encumbrances, tax, license and title for the first year of ownership. Winner is subject to tax and license one year after taking possession and for as long as he/she have ownership of the vehicle.

Winners need not be present to win. The Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts will take reasonable steps to notify winners by telephone, mail or via email of their prize. A list of winners will be posted at scottsdaleperformingarts.org on April 2, 2007 . Ticket buyers are encouraged to check the Web site and must claim their prize within 30 days.

Employees of the Scottsdale Cultural Council and members of their immediate families are ineligible to participate in the raffle.

The Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts reserves the right to cancel this contest at any time in which event, its liability is limited to refund of ticket prices to participants.

Winner assumes responsibility for any applicable taxes and personal expenses related to travel and hotel as well as any expenses incurred above and beyond the items won. All winners shall be responsible for any and all federal, state and local income or excise taxes, fees, assessment and like charges associated with the prizes.

By participating as an entry purchaser and/or prize winner, participant agrees to release the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts and their respective parent companies from any liability with respect to participation in the promotion, possession, use and distribution of the prize(s) awarded.
