Now in its 22nd season, Sunday A’Fair is a free afternoon mini-festival presented by the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts on the beautiful grounds of the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall. The event features concerts and performances by the Valley’s top entertainers, a diverse selection of arts and crafts available for sale, hands-on activities for children and families and free docent-guided tours of the sculptures on the Mall. Lawn chairs and picnic baskets are welcome. Food and refreshments from Arcadia Farms are also available for purchase.

A day of unity in conjunction with the Scottsdale Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration, Peace & Community Day is presented with Community Celebrating Diversity, the City of Scottsdale and the Scottsdale Unified School District.

Brother Outsider
Learn about the life and work of Bayard Rustin -- the man historians call the "unknown hero" of the civil rights movement -- through this free screening of the award-winningdocumentary Brother Outsider, followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Bennett Singer. A visionary strategist and activist, a mentor to Martin Luther King Jr. and chief organizer of the historic 1963 March on Washington, Rustin dared to live as an openly gay man during the fiercely homophobic 1940s, 1950s and 1960s. Following its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, Brother Outsider has won more than 25 awards and has been shown at the United Nations, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and for members of Congress. LOCATION AND PARKING
Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts is located at 7380 East Second Street in downtown Scottsdale , four blocks south of Indian School Road and three blocks east of Scottsdale Road . The amphitheater is located on the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall at 75th Street and Main Street . Free parking is available in the public parking garage located to the west of Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts and directly behind Los Olivos restaurant on Wells Fargo Avenue. Additional free parking is available at the Old Town Parking Corral at East Second Street and Brown Avenue and at the Civic Center Library parking garage located on Drinkwater Boulevard at East Second Street .
