Located in the south hallway off the Dayton Fowler Grafman Atrium, the ArtReach Space features the work of young students engaged in education and outreach endeavors under the instruction of teachers and artists in residence.
Most events take place in Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts’ state-of-the-art, 853-seat Virginia G. Piper Theater, recognized for its intimacy, acoustics and comfort. View the seating chart, video, and gallery images of the venue.
With theater-style seating for 137 guests, Stage 2 accommodates a variety of lectures, films and other events.
Named after Dayton Fowler Grafman, a longtime board member and supporter of Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts and curator of its nationally recognized Virginia G. Piper Concert Series, the 6,200-square-foot Atrium provides an impressive entrance and an inviting place to gather before and after events.
Outfitted with state-of-the-art technology and a stylish conference table for business meetings, the Mezzanine Conference Room (MCR) is also the ideal location for a pre-show dinner party, post-show dessert reception and any elegant social gathering (up to 120 people).
The Young @ Art Gallery is a 1,700-square-foot gallery devoted to the creative artwork of students with a capacity of 75 (seated) to 120 (standing).
SMoCA Lounge is an intimate gallery space that can be tailored for a variety of events for 60 to 80 people.

Scottsdale Civic Center Park has been the location for hundreds of wedding ceremonies and receptions. We believe that every wedding is special. Whether it’s a large party complete with a lavish reception or an intimate ceremony, the options are endless. By hosting your wedding at the Park, you will be able to create a unique, memorable experience. For the most intimate event of 20 people or less, the Mayer Garden provides a lovely desert garden setting complete with a canopy of trees, a tiered waterfall fountain and James Waddell’s sculpture Mother and Child.
This picturesque setting has lovely flowers in bloom year-round and a softly flowing fountain in a sunken courtyard of red brick, shaded by overhanging trees. This space includes grassy areas on both sides, which make this space ideal for up to 200 people.
For groups of 250 or less, the overpass provides a very open, beautifully tailored melding of decorative, majestic fountains amidst several different kinds of mature trees. Robert Indiana’s iconic LOVE sculpture is located on the lawn adjacent to Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts.
The Fountain Stage is the perfect location for larger groups of up to 1,500. This area is known for its grand focal point: a flagstone and brick stage in a sea of lush grass, flanked by vivid seasonal flowers. Please be advised that seasonal staging and canopy may also be in place November through April for this location.
Located in the park a short walk from Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, the Amphitheater is the home of the popular Concerts Under the Stars series. The outdoor venue accommodates up to 1,800 people on its sloped grass lawn.
Accommodating up to 750 people, the Northeast Lawn features a beautiful level lawn flanked by mature trees, a perfect location for open-air and tented events. Scottsdale’s distinctive City Hall overlooks the lawn, with easy access parking immediately available.
