About This Event

Visiting from a distant planet that’s slowly dying from drought, Thomas Jerome Newton has left his wife and two children in the hope of finding a solution on Earth. He lands in Haneyville, a desolate, one-horse Southwest town. Aided by a lawyer, Newton uses his knowledge of advanced technology to create profitable inventions. While developing a method to transport water, Newton meets a quiet hotel clerk and begins to fall in love with her. Just as he is ready to leave Earth, Newton is intercepted by the U.S. government and his entire plan is threatened.

Presented in conjunction with Complexions Contemporary Ballet’s performance of Dwight Rhoden’s Star Dust, a tribute to the life and music of David Bowie.
