About This Event

Interdisciplinary artist and writer, Coco Fusco, will discuss topics from her most recent publication, Dangerous Moves: Politics and Performance in Cuba. The publication is an exploration of performance and cultural politics in post-revolutionary Cuba. Fusco analyzes the dynamics between artists and the state, focusing on the ways that performance has served as a favored means of social commentary.

Ticket Discounts

  • Free Tickets for Veterans, Students and Teachers: The Center provides free tickets to selected events for eligible veterans, students and teachers. A valid student ID, teacher ID or proof of military service is required. Tickets are limited and must be requested by phone or in person at the box office.

The Discovery Series

  • Discovery Cuba: Each year, the Discovery Series takes audiences on an artistic journey around the globe. Embracing a multitude of artistic disciplines, it extends throughout the Center’s 2018–19 Season and includes performances, events, exhibitions and a spring culmination festival.
