This tribute concert is dedicated to Holocaust survivors, their families, and those who are no longer with us. Music and stories combine to provide a powerful new lens through which to view the important role of music in Jewish life, before, during, and after the Holocaust. We are honored that our local Holocaust survivors and their families continue to share their stories and inspire us to take action to make the world a better place. Together they strengthen our steadfastness to combat all forms of hatred and allow us to express the themes of spirit, resistance, resilience, and hope.
This evening’s performance will feature Lin Sue Cooney as emcee with special guests, Avshi Weinstein and local survivor, Charlotte Adelman, along with the Red Rocks Music Festival String Orchestra.
Also featuring Gil Sharon, violin; David Ehrlich, violin; Teresa Ehrlich, piano; and Nikola Djurica, clarinet, accompanied by the Red Rocks String musicians in a program featuring music by Bartók, Prokofiev, J.S. Bach, and others.
